Statistics to Identify Performance Patterns

This Website is designed to allow a player to identify patterns in her results. The main two goals of the Website are to get more detailed statistics recorded that aren't published in other major tennis Websites and to present them in a reporting tool that can be used to review them and identify patterns quickly and easily.

Statistics represent primarily selected WTA main draw matches starting Jan. 1st, 2020 with Priscilla Hon's matches used as the examples. In most cases, where videos of matches have been reviewed, individual shots are tracked for both Priscilla and her opponent, including stroke used, quadrant of the court, and result.

Statistics can be filtered across many categories including set, game score, length of point, stroke used, surface and opponent rank. It can help a player with questions such as the following:

  • What shots am I missing most often?
  • In what situations do I tend to make more errors or winners?
  • How are my results changing for different surfaces, times of day, game scores, opponent ranks, and lengths of points?
  • Where are most of my misses taking place - wide, long or in the net?
  • How much is each stroke being used overall?
  • How well am I keeping the ball in play for each type of stroke?
  • How is my progress over time for key performance measures?
